Cap'n Crunch I turned it off halfway through. It was sorta funny. I'll watch it again next time it comes on.

Esuohlim I don't like it that much. It also seems grossly out of place in its current slot. But then again, FOX sucks and will probably always suck.

SLjimbo I agree MXC is better than Banzai, but at least they're getting things right. In the new episodes they're making, they're using different events, not the same event over and over like they did in the beginning.

pjalne I remember watching with my grandmother when some channel that's dead now aired an episode where they were doing a 'guess whose genitals these are' bit and Mr Shake-Hands-Man was harassing some porn star. She was laughing her head off, and I started respecting my granny more than I already did. She's a dirty old lady in the body of a sweet old lady.

Anonymous MXC is a re-dubbed ollllld Japanese game show called Takeshi's Castle. And they cut out some bits from it, like the contestants fighting the hosts in tanks at the end of most episodes. :/

Takeshi's is funny in its own right, but the funny thing about the dubs is that they don't even bother to translate it, they just dub it over to make fun of the people in it. I think I like MXC better :<

Daphne It wasn't from Canada, it's been playing in the UK for ages. We were just lucky enough to be able to watch it uncensored because Canada rules. I tell you, there's nothing like betting on which penis out of five belongs to a guy kicked off Big Brother 2 (UK). The commentary on that one was hilarious "I no doctor, but that not look right!"

The Stupid dog sausage challenge was one of my favorites, but I'm hoping they show the washing machine race with dead cat vs. talcum powder.

crash0814 I didn't know Banzai was from Canada until I came here. It was probably imported to America to compete with MXC. MXC is better though, if you ask me.

Schimid Maybe it's just me, but I thought that Banzai was just created to try to compete with Most Extreme Elimination Challenge or something. Although I'm sure that everyone here will rip me to shreds and tell me that Banzai was here first.

SLjimbo I hope they include the Stupid Dog Sausage Challenge in one of the FOX episodes.

Zero Signal Happy Family Plan is better.

ScruU2wice I didnt catch the last three but the handshake thing, and the lady one question thing was hilarious. I kept having the feeling that they were to beat the word Banzai into my subconciense.

Ninjavenom I wish that the guy who screamed "BANZAI!!!" had done so at some of the contestants. Suckers.

crash0814 It's a nice concept, but I didn't really find it funny.

Banzai

I'd been a fan of this show for a couple of years having first watched it on CityTV up here 2 years ago, and I was wondering if FOX would be able to pull it off.

It was still pretty funny, but the problem with it airing in the US is that you'll never see the truly vulgar bits that they have (like "guess which old lady is really a whore" and "what weighs as much as this b-list celebrity's genitals"?) and they feel the need to have bets that include Fox celebs (like American Idol's Simon Callow).
That said, it's still a pretty fucking great half hour of television. Lady One Question always kills me.

If you have a friend in Canada, try and see if they will send you a tape of the original. It's worth it.

Anyone else catch it?
