How come all the life and death activities are always practiced? Doctors: "He's 'practicing" medicine over at St Mary's." Religious Followers: "He's a 'practicing' lutheran." One would think that these people would want to get it right before they go into surgery or die!

yes, sure it has to do with the problem. i have often fallen into the blame game. betterment/transcendance requires review, regurgitation, and multiple views. verifying ones concept of the 'truth' is a never ending journey. i'm trying to deal with the various forces involved in all things as we all are doing.. whether its a local thing, regional thing, or more complex.. again, never-ending.. i ramble about local experiences and wonder on here sometimes.. conclude as you will, i mean to make accusations/assumptions/theories to be analysed by the likes of you so that i might be able to find the middle of the road at some point.. thanks |

hey ranx - ya think having self proclaimed radical leftys wondering if Jews are "semi-nomadic opportunists" has anything to do with the problem? there are legit studies that tie *all* religious prosperity with the economy, but since you seem a little unclear on it, what you watched specifically was jew hating propaganda. then you brought up israel. classy. |

hating something seems to be the number one pastime. reaping the profits of hate follows it.. divide and conquer opportunists should always get extra attention, especially what they are using as an opportunity. watching an old black and white history of my town it was interesting to note that there was a large and growing percentage of jews and synagogues in town until the economy peaked.. the number declined rapidly as the economy stopped growing.. i'd say thats just plain smart to follow the economy on the one hand then it makes me wonder what exactly the role is in the repeatable boom and bust cycle. where do those folks make thier stand? were they semi-nomadic opportunists? in retrospect the video makers seem to have isolated the jews from the other populations that grew then shrank so this probably says more about my town's perceptions of jews related to blame than the jews themselves heh. i don't know enough about it to say though. i'd like to separate what is wrong with isreal-VS-the world as a pawn of american corporations from jews as a people. almost all jewish folk i know completely disagree with the american supported military stance of isreal. isreal is being used as a pawn by the US, it's plain to see that hatred is used in so many ways to divide the people while corporations get hired by both sides, or hired by an outside force to regulate or pacify.. the blame game is often encouraged in the interest of competing ownership.. security is the new boom in all markets with everything else coming second. |

Fuck the Jew and the Lotus. That's right, I'm an Anti-SemiLotus. Stats for American Jews: Less then 500,000 American Jews attend Synagogue regularly. About a million or so practice other religions, and another 2 million have stopped practicing religion altogether. Jews make up about 2.2% of the entire population. The median age is 51, substantially higher then the typical American. Children make up less then 19% of the Jewish population. 85% of adult Jews were born here. There are 5.2 million self identified Jews in the US. 2.9 million Jewish households. 19% of these households are considered low income, compared to 29% for the rest of Americans. 47% of Jews have intermarried. Only 1/3 of interfaith children are being raised Jewish (2003 National Jewish Population Survey) I recall reading that there are actually only 900,000 Jews in New York, and 1.2 Million in California (maybe the numbers are flipped?) but that these were the only central areas for Jews. There are areas of the Bronx that lost about half their Jewish population in the last decade alone. Comparitively, there are around 2 million Native American Indians in the US. |

Also - Malaysia's been blaming Jews for their economic collapse since 1997. They're shifting into a non-secular Muslim nation out of desperation. Millions of people in Mexico believe Jews are responsible for the devestation of their 1995 earthquakes. A deli owner in Cleveland has an antisemetic mural on the side of his building depicting Hitler as too compassionate, and Jesus on the cross, along with other typical Jew hater shit. It's been up for ten years, and people are just now complaining that it's offensive. The owner agrees, saying "it's very offensive because I find Jews very offensive". The list goes on and on....but it's not a hip cause to take up. |

Who knows. Partly because Jews have popped up as a minority and been successful in every nook and cranny of the world for thousands of years. Everyone likes a scapegoat, blood libels become reinvented, and people everywhere have someone in common to universally hate. There is also a resentment caused by a perception that Jews like to take advantage of their victim-hood. The race, religion, and culture thing confuses a lot of people. Cultural materials and education reinforce the stereotypes of Jews as a people of power, erasing their minority status, and it becomes socially acceptable to single them out. All that and some self hate too. I like to pretend Adam Sandler's a Luthera, please don't ruin it for me. |

I think some of the posts were just irony. Some not, though. Seriously, though, why is Jewhating the number one most popular world sport? I mean, there are folks who hate the jews most of all, but if people hate some other group more, their number two is always Jews. Even if you're violently anti-Israel, before that, what did we ever do? I mean, unless you count foisting that pesky Jesus on the world. |

When i hang out with my muslim friends from skokie (heavily populated with jewish folks.) they are really racist toward jews. its really funny cuz once we were flippin through the channels and i left it on mr.deed for a few minutes and one of them screamed "WE CAN'T WATCH THIS, ADAM SANDLER IS SO JEWISH!!!" Another encounter with anti-semitism i had was when i went to canada one of the people i had dinner with was convinced that the jews had created the "911 conspiracy" because: -if everything else burned around the wtc then how did they find the hijackers passports -more than 3000 jews called in sick to werk at the wtc -The police caught a group of rabiis laughing and pointing at the twin towers blowign up -israel benefitted the most out it i was half way convinced untill he was convinced that if any person that drowned or burned to death would go straight to heaven according to "Islamic passages" and was convinced that if he died either of those ways the jews had a hand in it i myself dont hate anyone unless they try to impose their religous views on me... |
