sadie i was shallow as fuck when i was a teenager. i wouldn't have dated anyone i didn't consider my "type." i actually went out with several guys just because they drove jeeps. how gay.
it took deciding to love someone regardless of his appearance to get over it. he was a soulful, funny, songwriting guitar player, and he dumped me like two weeks later, broke my heart big-time. but i learned a shitload from it. i was nineteen.

Well, yeah. Even so called "nice guys" are just as shallow as the "jerks." I mean, if being friendly was enough to make one date/sex-worthy, then how come "nice guys" don't care much for ugly but nice girls?

No, they date assholes because they're interesting and dominant--not because they're good-looking. Hardly any of the "assholes" from my high school were attractive, yet they had girlfriends because of their personalities.

Brandon Looks aren't nearly as important to women as they are to men.

That being said, women won't ever date you just because you are a "nice guy." Personality is crucial, but it's more confidence/self-esteem based. The sad truth is, no girl will ever completely go just for personality. A guy may be awesome to hang out with, and that's cool, but if he's not good to look at, then it's all over between the two and it'll probably be nothing more than a minor friendship.

Then again, you can see someone and say "They're the ugliest person ever" and then you'd get to know them and they'd be nice to you and, as if it was some type of illusion, they'll get prettier...so I don't know :/
