GWAR started as a punk band , it stands for God What an Awful Racket , they are a punk / metal band yet they tend to have alot of songs that dont fit into either genre they have been quoted as saying something along the lines of : we play shitty music and dress up in costumes so people will come to see us . so they are all more about their stage act and their music . some of its good but none of it is anywhere near deathmetal just because they kill people on stage and play guitars does not make them "Death Metal" |

| Jomb | Gwar isn't death metal. Death metal makes me think of Carcass, early Kreator, etc.. Gwar was my favorite band briefly way back in high school though. | ||
