Protoclown Yep, and the American public will buy it hook, line, and sinker. They don't even need to attack us anymore at all, just as long as they keep "making lots of noise" on the Terrorist Phone Hotline.

mburbank I think any information gathered from a highly placed sworn enemy of the united states is pretty much bound to be TRUE and USEFUL, especially if we torture him.

I think he can be counted on to get us to go to at least Orange at least Twice with completely false crap. Thus will he continue to succesfully wage terror even after we've caught him.

Protoclown I agree, Spad...that quote sounds highly suspect to me. So he's willing to sacrifice EVERYTHING for bin Laden and now they've got him singing like a canary, and then he says THAT? I think not. The more information he reveals to us, the more he fails his "sheikh".

Anonymous Although he is most likely being tortured, I doubt it is that heavy, considering the war tribunal will be held next year, and anything done now runs the risk of being revealed. However, that being said, I hope we are doing whatever it takes to extract somewhat reliable information.

Here's the part that doesn't sit quite right with me:

Quote:
``He said proudly, 'the sheikh (bin Laden) is a hero of Islam and I am his tiny servant. Life, family, money, everything can be sacrificed for the sheikh,''' said the intelligence official.
That sounds like something inserted into the article to stir up emotion in us. See, my guess is, if they've gotten this much information out of him, he's probably not feeling too proud about anything. I hate to think of the shit they've done to this guy to get the info they've gotten. Although, I have to admit, there's a part of me that doesn't feel too bad about it. I know that's morally wrong, but I can't help it.
