soundtest Sounds more like a Windows problem. When I had trouble like that I'd usually just format. :/

LacrimansTaurne I had a problem similar to this a few years back and turned out that a virus had caused the problem.

AChimp How much free space is on the hard drive? Windows likes a big chunk of empty space for it's swap file, so I'm thinking that might be the problem.

Problems with Word

Word quit working in a big way on my mom's computer, with Windows 98, the other day. Now, whenever you try to load it, the computer locks up and says that it's dangerously low on resources. I can't even run Word in safe mode.

I tried reinstalling it, and uninstalling and installing it again, but nothing has worked. Anyone have an answer?
