ive tried a lot to get into the whole thing but guys but but you have to face it, jack black has that quality about him reminiscent of doofus duck rubbing a balloon to make it squeal so he can talk to dolphins, and some of you may be fine with that noise while the rest of us want to get in his face like scrooge mcduck and pop his balloon and then go on to stop the beagle boys

I'm totally behind you on the Tenacious D bandwagon. I don't think the new album is as good as the first, but it has its moments. And the movie is pretty good too... if you're a fan that is.

I loves 'em. Have ever since the Mr. Show days. If you have to ask what the joke is, you're not going to like 'em.

The only interview I've ever seen was the one on Space Ghost and it's the only one I'd ever consider watching again

I didn't catch the specific appearance that you're talking about, but that sounds pretty typical for them. Yeah, it's a running joke that they act like they rock so hard yet are such losers. It's part of their "appeal", assuming they have any.

I saw them on Conan and I thought it was funny how they seemed completely full of themselves for no reason. Is that the joke?

Thank you. They honestly bore the hell out of me. Jack Black can be really funny, but Tenacious D just doesn't do it for me. :/

you sound like a complete and utter homosexual

really dude, you could've condensed that entire paragraph down to "Jack Black has none of the qualities in comedy that I find great."

I find everyone's reaction to Tenacious D to be so predictable it's ridiculous. I love them.

Tenacious D were midly amusing the first time I heard them. The next 20,000 times it starts making you hate every fiber of the man's being. I could not escape that album no matter how hard I tried. All of my friends had it, and insisted on playing it for me everytime I showed up at their house. Those people are no longer my friends.

School of Rock was fun and Nacho Libre was ok...but after watching the trailer for Pick of destiny I feel like I'm tired of watching him and now his fat friend.

i think it's because he has a funny-guy face so you're expecting comedy but it comes up lacking and you blame yourselves for it. Like reverse projection or something.

Yeah. For years I thought I was the only one who didn't "get" it. Jack Black's not funny, his movies aren't funny, and his band isn't funny. It seems like everyone feels like they have to think he's funny, for some reason.
