Bod Haven't you kids discovered text messaging?

Helm I never call. I just show up in the middle of the night, press my face against the girl's window, put on my best wide eyed grin and run my fingernails on the glass, hoping the high pitched sound without will be matched by an equally high pitched sound within.

Well, if you haven't hung out with her before, I don't see the problem.

This would give you lots of those nice things to say if she says yes and you have a good time.

Or or or... what if that girl is someone that really likes the guy but she feels all dejected because he waited two days to call, Ms. Smartypants?

AChimp I never call someone after 11 PM because most people my age have old parents that get cranky.

Skulhedface Well, there is a good way of calling right away if you REALLY want to and not sound desperate.

Just say you had some other plans or something that fell through (like your friends had to work late or some shit) and say "I'm bored, I don't really have nothing to do now, you wanna hang out?"

*sighs*

Perndog Better idea: if possible, arrange a date when you meet and skip the phone call (but get the number anyway in case you get stood up or you have to cancel).

Snatchtastic
.

Call when you feel like it, if she gave you her phone number she wants you to call.

This movie would have given great advice in 98.

FS In this case, it would probably have been justified to call her a little while after you got home.

oedipus_wrecked If a person just says "call me sometime", I'd wait a few days, like you said. But if they wanted me to call to set up a date for a few days later, I'd call the day after. You'd have a day to figure things out, and you wouldn't leave the person waiting.

I can understand why you waited, but I don't think it seems desperate for someone to call the next day if it's to set up a meeting.

How long do you wait to call?

If someone gives you their number how long should you wait before you call them?

See, I would normally think like 2 or 3 days so as not to seem like an eager, desperate freak. But this girl gave me her # yesterday and asked me to call her so we could go for a drink this weekend. I didn't call her today though because it's the very next day... but now it's like 11pm Friday and I'm thinking I should have. Wtf!
