Darko The standard Xbox controller fits me pretty nicely since I was already used to Dreamcast before I got my Xbox.
Jan 25th, 2004 10:59 PM
Supafly345 For god's sake, I just said it would. I was saying that they will all eventually be ported, not that none of them will you idiot. And I said on release, after its initial releas it will be ported. But GC will have it to itself for a while though.

Nerd Kind of like how Code Veronica was supposed to be exclusive to Dreamcast? As much as I hate to say it, it probably one day be ported. Just the thought makes me want to grab a random Capcom employee and toilet dunk him.

Untill their contract expires. No game is binding to a system forever. (RE4 is exclusive to gamecube upon its release by the way, the others will be ported before that ever will.)

And I am with ProfCool, the packaged controllers are perfectly fine. Its not like you will be the envy of all your friends over a mutated controller.
Jan 25th, 2004 06:04 PM
ProfessorCool I dunno guys, I'm not much of a window shopper for controllers, I find it best to use the ones that came with the system.

May if some of you work more time with your hands other than masturbating and video games like manual labor, maybe you can get you fragile hands to full grasp and handel a god-damn peice of plastic.

But what do i know, I'm just a fucking n00b.

I've been thinking about getting a GC, but I'd only do it for the Resident Evils :<
I almost bought it instead of my xbox for the very same reason. They will eventually be ported (I pray).

Drev Don't forget the NES Zelda games and GBA games with the player

It also doesn't have an anolog stick, which means even more games don't work with it. But a few games would really be better off playing with the D-Pad rather than the Analog Stick (Resident Evil and Viewtiful Joe, for example) meaning this controller is much better than the normal one. It's really comfortable and It's my favorite out of all of them.
Jan 25th, 2004 12:51 PM
Drev That's because you don't have sline caked all over it. :/

Immortal Goat There are very few arcades around ANYWHERE anymore. It's just that an arcade stick seems to work better for many games.
Jan 25th, 2004 09:13 AM
The Unseen There's no arcades around here so I don't really prefer the arcade controller.

I bet it's great, I just have no reason to buy it
Jan 25th, 2004 01:05 AM
Drev I had one.....

AND I TRADED IT FOR FUCKING BAYOU BILLY!

GOD! WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING!?!

Mockery The best controller ever was the NES ADVANTAGE.
Jan 24th, 2004 11:43 PM
DamnthatDavid Most fighting games do not require C stick, and they are easier to play with a D-Pad and not a joystick.

Now, if only Nintendo HAD some more fighting games.

Immortal Goat Nerd, the problem with your favorite GC controller is that there is no c-stick, which means that many games are not compatible with it.

Are you sure you're holding the control the right way?

Nerd I prefer Gamecube's Hori Controller best, to be honest. The Gamecube's controller is okay but the L and R buttons are way too clunky. The best controller ever is, was, and always will be, Playstation's Dual Shock. It was a bit uncomfortable at first, with the two analog sticks, but you get used to it. You don't even notice them after a while.

The Unseen I wish those gloves would shock you if you were bad at the game

It's like a fuckin' glove. You can't beat that.

And we see how that turned out.
(Not the offical Nintendo one, saddly)
Jan 24th, 2004 05:34 PM
The Unseen I saw a used gamecube with no controllers and no games for 50$. And that's worth it!
Jan 24th, 2004 05:28 PM
HickMan Oh yeah, I forgot about that deal. That'd just save money :/ I was just thinking poor.
Jan 24th, 2004 05:25 PM
Schimid Don't get a GC used

They only cost 100 bucks anyway, and you get four games with it (If that Zelda offer is still up.)

I mean, jeez
