Mr. adventure, that was excellent. Charlottes Web is one of my all time favorite books, and I may have mentioned at some point that I feel it has the best opening line in the history of Western literature. In an incident of serendipity, I was just corresponding wiith a good friend who works in the UAE as an assistant principle, and she was bemoaning the fact that in preperation for the next sumester she has to go through all new textbooks and censor any reference to pigs. I wrote back asking how the hell the poor kids were supposed to read Charlottes Web. "Some Jew" Indeed. And Karen, the simple fact that you wrote your post disrobbed is present enough for a man of my advanced years. |

The One and Only... | You're only 42. You have the whole next half of your life to wait for death; don't rush it.

I've been grunting at the urinal since you were in chimp diapers, chimp. And I have a very healthy attitude about the grim reaper. Actuarily, I'm in the 'suddenly dropped dead' zone on the chart. I'm not in serious statistical danger but I have entered an area of the random algorythmn which accounts for people who just suddenlyt die of stroke or heart attack. Woemn get a few years longer before they get there, but me? I am there and LIKING IT! Everything is sweeter knowing that at any moment I go die. At 42, life becomes an extreme sport, and it only get extremer! Bring it on death! CATCH ME IF YOU CAN YOU... You know what I'm kind of out of breath here. Maybe it's because I still have a glue hangover from my birthday, or maybe it's because I'm still all sore from hiding out under the kitchen sink, which is the best ever hiding place for huffing glue. |

like you would know or maybe i'm mistaken and your education of the daily life for the middle-aged man extends beyond what you read on hallmark cards your dad gets from his elderly relatives |

mburbank | Being old enough to be a lawyers dad is nto a bad thing for me. Trthfully, I like being older better than I liked being younger, accept for how quickly time seems to pass. I'm going to like it best of all when I can no longer remember who anyone is.
