-->oscam Freddy vs Ash woulda kicked ass, you wouldn't have even needed Jason. Leatherface vs Ash would be cooler though.
Hey look, I posted! Please pretend you care... :/

Daphne You were looking for plot in a Freddy/Jason movie? No wonder you didn't like it. I thought it was hilarious and lots of fun to watch.

I also don't like the idea of Ash being handled by someone else.
That came off more homoerotic than you intended, I think You want him all for yourself, big boy?

It's a chance for Bruce Campbell to finally make a movie that will get his name out to people other than Evil Dead/Xena nerds, so I say good for him.
It's not like it's going to ruin the old movies, and maybe if it's popular we'll get a 4th Evil Dead movie out of Sam Raimi.

James Look at Freddy vs Jason, though. There was JUST enough plot to explain why they were in the same movie, and then you sat through a whole shitty movie just to get to the fight people were wanting to see.

You don't even have THAT with an idea like this. None that I could see, anyway. You just have the fight, and I don't know how that would go. I also don't like the idea of Ash being handled by someone else.

He's already said he wants to.

I think this is a great idea, but if you don't like it then you don't have to see it

Daphne New Line Confirms Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash Treatment
Project waiting for green light.

October 07, 2004 - New Line Cinema is definitely interested in making a sequel to Freddy vs. Jason, and combining it with a third horror franchise, Sam Raimi's Evil Dead series. New Line executive Jeff Katz himself wrote the script treatment, according to a new interview at Creature Corner. "I wrote the treatment and we're all very excited about it," he told the horror fansite.

While the Evil Dead movies may not have been major commercial successes, that won't stop the producers from including cult hero Ash, the chainsaw-wielding store clerk. "It's not about box office and what would make for the most commercial sequel," says Katz. "It's about delivering a story that will be better than the first and a story that makes sense given the continuity of the franchises."

Katz also hopes to flesh out the character of Jason Voorhees a little more in the sequel (as much as is possible, anyway). "We heard that [Jason was underutilized in Freddy vs. Jason] from fans too, and I think part of that's because Freddy has so much personality, especially compared to Jason, and any other character would be overshadowed standing next to Freddy. My entire idea is to help turn Jason into a bit more of a three-dimensional character without losing what makes him a scary badass. We have a cool twist I'm hoping will happen."

Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash hasn't gotten the go-ahead yet, but a decision could be made soon. Stay tuned!

I wouldn't say that. I can't tell you the number of times I've talked about the "Evil Dead" movies only to be met with dumb blank looks.

the_dudefather the best thing about this movie will be a likable hero. personaly i hate every kid in the friday/nightmare movies. the best thing about them. they die. and if they win. they die in the next film.

it probobly wouldnt be a good movie, but it would be a FUN movie. and lots of fanboys will whine becuase they ruined ash or something.
