That's what makes them creepy.

And TP was going to be released this month, but they postponed it's release "to make it better."

Yggdrasill They sound like elephants in Wind Waker. And they look like Dhalsim with big heads.

I thought Twilight Princess was going to be released this month.

just the fucking "AAAIIEEYHHHHH!!" everytime they "looked" at you scared me enough.
That scream was especially creepy in the Wind Waker. I would've been freaked out of my wits if Link's "scared" face hadn't made me laugh so hard

Edit: Oh man, I bet the little bastards are gonna be back for Twilight Princess

bigtimecow also, there was this mystery game my dad used to play. i just remember that it was on a train, and i walked into this room and there was a dead body and it was VERY graphic and very real and there was this HAUNTING music right when you walked in. scared the fucking HELL out of me.

after i was scared, i picked up the body and walked around the train with it. i went over to the captain and he was like "OMG, YOU GOT A BODY AND BLOOD ON YOU" and i lost.
:hat

Shagg E Actually an online game, but NFH Propaganda fuckin scared the hell out of me when your in a hallway type place, the lights go out, and all you can do is watch, as the light flickers for a split second, and you see a figure standing there.... another flicker, and he's closer... repeat a few times, and one last flicker shows this hideous face pressed up against the screen, and you hear a piercing scream.... then everythings back to normal

ArrowX Yeah the original enemies felt really out of place. and the parts with the Marines weres frustrating.
But I'm thinking more of the Trigger man, the creeper and the Isolationist.
Nov 6th, 2005 08:26 PM
Zomboid Yeah it was really scary how they took the enemies from the first game and tried to give them a new "urban" background and story. I also loved fighting men with machine guns instead of methods of execution inspired enemies.

What a scary game.

ArrowX Pretty much most of the Enemies in The Suffering: Ties that Bind are pretty freaky. They are right up there with Silent hill in terms of crazy.

Guitar Woman HOLY SHIT
I was playing Super Mario Brothers just now and I got to world 4, and I fucked up on the flagpole so I decided to get the coins in the block. While I was jumping all the pixels in the background started to turn black, it looked like a bunch of evil ivy was spreading across the screen.
It went away when I moved, but man was that creepy

Skulhedface The chainsaw guys are perhaps the only thing in videogames lately that HAVE made me jump.

There's that whole "I haven't fucking saved in a few hours, I don't know where he's coming from but I hear the chainsaw revving, and OMG FUCK HE CUT OFF MY HEAD!!111" thing...

Instant deaths in any videogame piss me off. But in that good way.
Nov 5th, 2005 06:41 PM
Guitar Woman I rented RE4 last weekend. The chainsaw guys are so scary I don't let them get within 20 feet of me. I haven't done that since the hounds in Half-Life.
Also the villagers throwing molotov cocktails at you startled me the first time it happened.
Nov 5th, 2005 01:12 PM
adept_ninja The whole idea of Parasite eve made me freaked out. All the people getting turned into goo at the park. The crazy lady eve.

Fatal frame the blind woman the first few time. The little angry killing dolls in the demon tag chapter and just the game in general.

also all the resident evils were scary as shit when i was younger.

Zomboid YES! Last night I snuck into a building and one of those fucking innsmouth people ran in after me after breaking through a door.

Supafly345 The marionettes in Devil May Cry creeped me out pretty good.
Nov 3rd, 2005 10:11 PM
Jeff The Ninja Alone in the dark when I saw the first monster outside the window. Then it burst through and i yelped. Then I was in a room and a Zombie opened the door when I was standing by it. i jumped. That whole game made me jump.

Mr. Vagiclean They don't scare me now thanks though

Chrono trigger eh? unheard of i better clear way
Oct 19th, 2005 11:45 AM
Guitar Woman If time paradoxes scare you I suggest staying the hell away from Chrono Trigger
Oct 18th, 2005 10:13 PM
Mr. Vagiclean when i was alittle younger playing Fallout 2, a random encounter had me enter a time warp portal into the Vault 13 in Fallout 1.

After roaming around the empty and quiet vault , I fucked around with something, (must've been the waterchip) then the game told me i basically triggered the reason why the main character in Fallout 1 headed out in an adventure in the first place.

Creeped me the fuck out just THINKING about it
