whoreable no it actually comes with a usb micro sd card reader, you just need a usb port!

GADZOOKS do you need a SD card slot on your computer Sorry I am new to TECHNOLOGY!
Mar 27th, 2007 10:42 PM
whoreable so basically you have to buy a micro sd memory card to put in it. I got a 2 gig. Once you put the system files on the memory card(they are on a disc that comes with it) you can place nds(ds roms) files, mp3 ,videos(dont know what format it plays), and homebrew programs(emulators!) on the card. you put the memory card in that r4. The r4 slides in the ds like any other game, once you boot to it you can select to boot from any rom on it, or play music.

its a great thing if you dont feel guilty about stealing games or you want emulators.

that site is by far the cheapest i have found, they ship from hong kong so it takes a while to recieve it. They also sell a version that comes with a 1gb card http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.1459

Esuohlim Is it like a flash card to store roms or something? If so then $30 is a steal

GADZOOKS Hey whoreable, tell me what cool things you can do with that. I kind of don't understand what it does. I might pick one up.

whoreable I just got a ds with one of these http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.1202
I have 45 games on my ds right now!

I highly recommend it.

Personally I found tetris ds a bit disapointing in some ways. On the original tetris I could barley make it past level nine. but in this one i can make it to like 17, and it stops at 20! You can keep spinning the pieces forever and they dont stick until you stop. My friend who is a tetris wiz, has no where else to go with the regular single player game.

I must admit though tetris in any form is fun, the music and graphics are good(although i miss the classic music too!) and the online play sounds relly good even though i havent tried it.

Ive only had a ds for a few days so ive got alot of games to check out.

I've tried, and it has to sound at least somewhat like they're asking you to yell. Maybe my copy's just picky. Or maybe I just suck at making objections.

But don't worry about buying Gyakuten Saiban 3 DS and not being able to read anything. The delay between the Japanese and US releases is worthless when it comes to this series.

Smon A lot of my time off the PC is being taken up by Elite Beat Agents. Fantastic game. Also, WarioWare:Touched not only is good ol' WarioWare ADD meets LSD, but comes with a bunch of nifty little devices that you have to unlock, that could come in handy later, like a stopwatch or a calculator.

irish If you're comfortable with your sexuality get animal crossing, it's brilliant =)

I got Another code, that's pretty good but once you clear it you kinda don't know what to do with it, except maybe play it outta pity or something. like a bad relationship =/

Final Fantasy III is great! you should be playing it now!!

Chojin I thought you could yell anything and the game would accept it?

I've been playing a lot of Theme Park recently! It's almost the same exact thing as the PSX and PC version, which means that it's great.

Divisible by Waffle Get both Phoenix Wright games, and then import the third on DS. It has English text (I think you have to yell "Igiari" instead of Objection, though) and all three games are absolutely godly.

Don't get the third on GBA, as it's only in Japanese.

timrpgland Yeah, that's why I made a note of it. Not sure why people like the GBA one better. Both aren't really anything special in the end. I liked them though.

I've been hesitant to get this since I've heard that the GBA one was better, and the GBA one to me was nothing special.

BlueOatmeal Metroid Prime Pinball really is the best pick up and play DS game I've played so far. When ever I have to go to the godamn laundry mat I always take it with me.

I really REALLY like Animal Crossing.

timrpgland I enjoyed Mario & Luigi probably a little too much... It's better than the GBA one.

I've probably played more Harvest Moon DS than anything....

Mockery Tetris DS is an absolute must-have for that system. I can't tell ya how nice it is to be able to logon at 3am and play some kid in Korea who kick my ass in a matter of minutes. I'm actually pretty good at Tetris, but many of those kids can humble my ass in a heartbeat. It's seriously a lot of fun and probably the best Tetris game ever (so far). Puyo Pop is another good one, though it's more like Dr. Mario I'd say.

Same can be said about Mario Kart DS, easily the best version of the game ever released andthe unlockables rock.

I'm also a big fan of Metroid Prime Pinball. I know pinball doesn't sound like something that'd be a lot of fun in video game format, but I swear it is, and the dual-screen format really suits this game nicely. The multiplayer option only requires that one person have the game and up to 8 other people can play with you which is always nice. Also, I don't know of many other pinball games that allow you to actually fight bosses. Plus, you can usually find a copy for 10-15 bux so it's not gonna break your bank or anything. So yeah, get a copy cuz it's a fun game all around.

Last but not least, I had a lot of fun with the Electroplankton game. It's not even a game really, it's more like just this amusing music-making utility. Unfortunately, it's out of print and hard to come by, but if you can get a copy I'd say it's worth it.

GADZOOKS New Super Mario Brother is a RENTAL, sorry, it's a good game but it's a RENTAL. Tooooo Easy! But it has some mini-games that tie me over from time to time.

Mario Kart is great! But I'm a big mario kart nut. But you can race with your pals!

Spore is coming to the DS, that's something to look forward to.

what are some good DS games?

i just recently got one and so far the only games i have are Castlevania Portrait of Ruin and Final Fantasy III. I have yet to play FF3 but i'm not too wild about Portrait of Ruin. It's fun and everything, but i thought Aria of Sorrow was much better

I ordered the other castlevania game for the DS because i heard it was more like Aria of Sorrow
