I think he makes a good point.

sadie okay, well, zelda, this thread isn't about how many posts per page. moron.

and polls still suck, and who cares about timestamps anyway? what's the big deal?

zeldasbiggestfan Cant you just let us pick in our profile like how many posts per page?

Chojin Well it was, wasn't it

Esuohlim As I mentioned before, this board started off with relative timestamps and I seriously saw "1 week ago" for all the threads at the bottom of General Blabber's page one.

You're making a big mistake here!

Chojin Except the combo doesn't tell you a relative time, it just says 'yesterday' or 'today' or nothing next to a full timestamp. IDEALLY, we should have a full timestamp with (5 minutes ago) or something after it, but there's no option for that because that would be great.

Also Jix it's my understanding that the relative timestamp goes to a full after 24 hours, but i know fo sho it goes to a full one after a month or two.

Emu Srsly.
Jan 30th, 2007 10:43 PM
Black Flag honestly there is no reason not to do the combo
Jan 30th, 2007 10:35 PM
Emu All the posts have dates attached to them regardless of what kind of time stamp you have. Ideally though the combo timestamp would explire after two days and regress into a full timestamp after that period. I really don't get why people would want one or the other when you have both.

Emu Actually isn't there some way you can set it up so each person can choose which display mode is used? It seems weird that you'd have to set the entire forum to see it one way.
