adept_ninja I plan on picking this box set up it looks awesome. The one thing I dont like about the matrix series is the distance they put between the movies and the budget on the movies. The blade series did the same thing. First one was very good second one was awesome full of special effects and the third seems like they didnt put to much money into it and just wraped up the series with it

AChimp The sequels were crap, so this is just for weirdos who think they're Neo.

Some of the animatrix was good some of it was shit. I was let-down by the guy who did Ninja Scroll... had high hopes for that episode. But like you Fatty, I enjoyed the sequels and couldn't give a shit what other people thought about them.

Just found out that they're putting out a limited edition of the box set too apparently:

I like that they're giving the fans so much with this set. Cuz normally when you see "ultimate edition" or whatever, it means a few "blooper" tracks of the cast laughing it up over misreading the same line 50 times in a row. But with this, you're getting an insane amount of material, and not just special effects stuff. I wish they'd treat other good movies with the same care when they're put out on DVD.

James I thought the sequels were shit, so I don't want those on DVD, and I don't care for the behind-the-scenes shit for them. The Animatrix I could go either way on. The Matrix was good, too, but I don't see what could be so interesting in the behind-the-scenes stuff that isn't already well known or common technique now.

And I still don't know how they managed to fill 9 discs. It's ridiculous. I'll take my Return of the King instead, thank you.

The Ultimate Matrix Collection DVD set

So who's gonna be picking this set up come Tuesday? 10 discs worth o' Matrix goodness for 50 bux, I'm all for it. I love all the behind-the-scenes stuff in movies like this, so I'm sure that'll be cool, along with seeing some deleted scenes 'n what not. Been waiting for a box set like this to come out for loooong time. :o
