Hell, "Joshua Tree" is nowhere near U2's best album. That would be "War" or "Achtung Baby".

POP is the best.

crash0814 Pearl Jam jumped the shark with Yield, in my opinion. Ten was a shaky start, Vs. and Vitalogy were both solid albums, No Code was an attempt to branch out, so good or not, it earns my respect. Yield just kinda...sucked. It was boring. Except for Do the Evolution. That song was badass.
Jul 24th, 2003 11:45 AM
Zero Signal I stopped listening to Pearl Jam albums after Vs.; just not the same. poop
Jul 24th, 2003 02:21 AM
crash0814 Maybe I should rephrase what I said earlier: Ten is quite possibly the most overrated album of all time by a usually good band.

Protoclown Hell, "Joshua Tree" is nowhere near U2's best album. That would be "War" or "Achtung Baby".

As for Pearl Jam, I like "Ten" but I agree that it's overrated. I prefer "Yield" and "Vs" both to it.
Jul 24th, 2003 12:44 AM
Perndog I always thought that was Joshua Tree.

Perndog In approximate order, best first:

Guns N Roses - Appetite for Destruction
Blues Traveler - Four
Metallica - Metallica
Stone Temple Pilots - Core
Ozzy - Ozzmosis (sure, the older stuff is great (esp. Rhoads) but this record just does it for me)
The Eagles - Hell Freezes Over (best live album ever)
System of a Down - Toxicity
No Doubt - Tragic Kingdom
Pearl Jam - Ten
Queensryche - Operation: Mindcrime

This list includes, of course, only albums I'm really familiar with. It'll probably change, and soon.

Mockery Yep, I actually saw them live a long time ago... it was in a fairly small club so we got to stand up nice 'n close. Their live sound & performance was absolutely awesome. Really great musicians. Actually, I don't know if you've heard it, but "Katharine Whalen's Jazz Squad" is really good too... a side project of the SNZ's Katharine Whalen.

Dole I didnt know you liked Squirrel Nut Zippers. They are ace

Queensryche - "Promised Land"
King Missile - "Happy Hour"
Nine Inch Nails - "The Fragile"
Faith No More - "Angel Dust"/"The Real Thing"
Megadeth - "Rust In Peace"
Primus - "Sailing The Seas of Cheese"/"Frizzle Fry"
Lush - "Split"
In Flames - "Colony"/"Whoreacle"
Dream Theater - "Images and Words"
Weezer - "The Blue Album"
Stratovarius - "Infinite"
Rhapsody - "Dawn of Victory"
Helmet - "Aftertaste"
Alice In Chains - "Jar of Flies"/"Sap"
Squirrel Nut Zippers - "Perennial Favorites"
Evanescence - "Fallen"

Tom Petty - "Into The Great Wide Open"
The Cars - "Heartbeat City"

Generator86 Number one will always be Guns N' Roses-Appetite for Destruction.

After that, Bad Religion takes up the next seven spots(albums constantly change positions).

The final two are Propagandhi-Today's Empires, Tomorrow's Ashes, and (surprise!) Propagandhi-Less Talk, More Rock.

Honorable mention goes to Kataklysm-Temple of Knowledge, and Pig Destroyer-Prowler in the Yard.
