Tough Guy: Too Pure To Die, Swear To God, (NEW) Throwdown, Sworn Enemy The Promise and Comeback Kid = amazing old school hxc revival stuff. Metalcore bands that will change your mind about the genre: This Present Darkness, As Hope Dies, Darkness Remains (both from WV and they're amazing). Cheesy ass Saves-The-Day-left-their-lyric-sheet-at-our-practice-space metalcore - 7angels7plagues, Misery Signals. I also find some good ol' Hatebreed doesn't hurt every so often. I can give you more if you want, though I havent really listened to hardcore much lately. More into metal now. Oh, and as always I have to plug End This Day (defunct). |

E-Town Concrete and Earth Crisis hahaha I would like to second Knut, Poacher Diaries, Mastodon, and Caliban, (everyone already knows DEP rule) but Helm already seconded something, so now i'm big mister copycat guy. Thanks a lot, you greek bastard. Check out Shora, definitely. Those are some "fresh jams." Pig Destroyer, if you're the only person on earth who hasn't heard them yet. Racebannon are weird techno/hardcore, kinda like The Locust. You might like Skitsystem, too. I'd say Hope Conspiracy, The Suicide File, and Eighteen Ghosts for more traditional, less distorted hardcore. Probably not your bag. |
