Take the side off your PC and look if you have more than one ram module. If so then take one out and boot the computer up then see if programs still crash all the time. If they do put the module you took out back in and take the other one out then boot up again and check if everythign still crashes. if it does then you ram is not at fault if it stops stuff from crashing then the other ram is faulty and needs replaceing.

Are you completely sure it is not a virus though?
i only have one, and yes i'm 100% completely sure it's not a virus

Well if it was anything it would proably be a RAM related problem. If you have more than one RAM module try using only a single one. Try each one in turn and if there it stops the progs from crashing you have faulty ram.

Black Flag it's neither a virus nor adware and it's really really annoying

If all else fails, re-load windows (format your hard drive). Tough luck.

AChimp It's a computer that looks at the error reports and files them. Microsoft only deals with the most common ones, and even then, only the ones pertaining to a Microsoft product.

99% of the time, it's the program that's running that causes the error, not Windows.

Pub Lover I get replies to my error reports, usually along the lines of "your computer is shit & you shouldn't of done what you did".
Aug 24th, 2004 05:38 AM
FS I always wonder about that error report shit if someone's actually reading them. I bet those either never reach anyone or they're piling up somewhere in an office full of people angry at Microsoft.

am I right

guys
