I fixed my problem. I made a post on December 13th explaining that I fixed my problem. Why are you people still giving me solutions? And actually Alive, I might consider that since it's now 2005 and a 56k modem won't fly these days |

Hyper Tonik | For the $20.00 a month you pay for AOL, you can add another $9.00 and get a wonderful ADSL connection from SBC Yahoo!. | |

Seriously, there are other providers other than AOL. I know it's a lame tired issue to see people bashing them, but to be honest, if it doesn't work, with AOL, it could be literally ANYTHING. |

OK I finally got it working again I had delete my whole hard drive and reinstall everything so I have nothing left on my computer anymore but that's OK since it was overrun with viruses and computer STDs and it was for the best. Also I spent like a total of 17 hours on tech support over the week and Habib on the other end couldn't help me with a goddamn thing. |

AOL dials up fine once in a while, but I can't access any websites. The link you gave looked like it pertained to my problem exactly, but it didn't work. |

Failing that you could just reinstall the connection and whatever crap is on the latest AOL 10 (or whatever) CD. But really, its not hard to switch ISPs. Or even upgrade to cheap ADSL from another ISP. |

Internet not working I have AOL dial-up (shut up) and it has been failing to connect me to the Internet for the last three days. I think the problem comes from running Adaware and deleting a file or a something that I porbably still need. I called tech support and they said Winsock had something to do with it, but I'm not paying money for them to walk me through. Any suggestions? |
