Hobo Renee I have that song on my computer, if only I had the music video...
Aug 26th, 2003 11:45 AM
mburbank And then he sang
"Bilbo, BILLLL-bo, Bilbo Shatner;
as fat as he is ta-ALLLLL!
Bilbo, BILLLL-bo, Bilbo Shatner;
Under his hair weave he's as bald as a cue ball!"
Aug 26th, 2003 11:40 AM
Buffalo Tom Actually, he said, 'Christ, if I see Bill Shatner again, it'll be too soon. Fucking shill.'.
Aug 26th, 2003 11:38 AM
mburbank Yeah, nd the thought balloon next to his head said "I swear to christ one day I'll kill some dork trying to impress me with the vulcan salute. Like I give fuck."
Aug 26th, 2003 11:35 AM
Buffalo Tom I tried to get a picture with him holding up a sign that said 'I'm a sexy chick and I love Jixby Phillips'. He of course said no.

However, he was suitably impressed I could do the Vulcan sign thingie with either hand.

mburbank Oh! Oh! Tom! Go back in time to the begining of this weekend, and when you meet Nimoy, keep calling him "Dr" Nimoy until he's forced to admit he doesn't have a doctorate, and then say "Wait a second... You wrote all that shit about babies and you're not a doctor? No wonder I'm so fucked up."

Ironic you should mention that. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Best about a month ago Nice guy. Awesome accent.

Okay....THAT is sort of a disturbing image you went and just conjured up there in my mind...*shudders*[/quote]

Hobo Renee Star Trek bands are a bunch of drunks, so I don't think that they can to the Vulcan hand salute.
Aug 23rd, 2003 10:09 AM
FS Zefram Cochrane can't.
Aug 23rd, 2003 09:38 AM
Protoclown Pshaw. Everybody can do the Vulcan hand thing.
Aug 23rd, 2003 05:11 AM
FS The sad thing is, yesterday I dreamt I met Leonard Nimoy and made the Vulcan salute, and he was very impressed that I could do it (spreading the fingers like that). All because of this thread.

Do they do the trekkie hand thing instead of the "rock on" hand thing?
Aug 23rd, 2003 12:44 AM
Hobo Renee Trekkies II recently filmed a segment on Star Trek punk bands here in Sacramento. Apparently Sacramento has about 5 Star Trek themed punk bands, it's some sort of cosmic nerd force.
Aug 22nd, 2003 08:28 PM
mburbank Ahhhh. Excellent.
Aug 22nd, 2003 12:21 PM
Protoclown Well, my friend asked him why it wasn't his face behind Darth Vader's helmet, and Prowse started going off about how much of an asshole Lucas was and that he WAS Darth Vader and that he wasn't the face of Anakin because Lucas didn't want him to have any power and he had this really intense scary look in his eyes like he was going to snap our necks...so yeah, I'd say he was bitter.
Aug 22nd, 2003 12:17 PM
mburbank Was he bitter? 'Cause that can be kind of fun.
Aug 22nd, 2003 12:15 PM
Protoclown Yeah, Prowse was kind of a boring guy.
Aug 22nd, 2003 11:56 AM
mburbank I'm doing it now. It's strangely arrousing.

FS Did you know he was also Mr. Spock on the original Star Trek? Huh?

David Prowse, pssh. That's like meeting Buzz Aldrin.
Aug 21st, 2003 02:53 PM
mburbank Did you know that Mr. Nimoy was for a time Americas best selling poet?
Aug 21st, 2003 12:36 PM
Protoclown I too have met David Prowse. :jedi

Have fun, John.
