Perndog Fifty page critical evaluation...wow. It's things like this that make me so glad I'm a music major and that my 400 level courses involve directing an orchestra instead of writing about politics.

The_Rorschach It was mandatory reading for Poli Sci 435, and as I am probably the only individual here who had to not only read it, but turn in a fifty page critical evaluation, I can say. . .Its a steamy pile of worm ridden crap.

Besides, capitalism can get along fine with autocracy. Speaking of poor arguments -- the entire cartoon is one.

Dictators have always used rhetoric to inflame the majority against some sort of minority so as to ensure loyalty and power. It is a way of drilling in nationalism. Want examples? How about Chavez? The bourgeoise are the scapegoat.

Even Bush is using similar tactics.

And none of the other criticisms offer any logical arguments.

Zhukov Hayek shows that he is not in touch with the real world. Did he not learn from experience? Or did he throw out experience becasue it wasn't logical or some other pile of arse.

Big Papa Goat So... a brief history of the typical road to facism, only instead of having accuracy, it has anti socialist rhtetoric. Fantastic.

Perndog Yawn.

I don't remember the exact quote, so I'm paraphrasing. "All of a dictator's actions are to turn the majority against a scapegoat minority."

Where the fuck did that claim come from and how does it have more than peripheral relevance to the topic? Let's hear someone back it up without talking about Hitler.

The Road to Serfdom

Has anyone here read it? It's supposedly a good book.

Here is a quicky cartoon version.
