Mockery Yeah, they had to use actual film back then. I'm sure I could pull some favors here 'n there to make a movie cheaper, but for $70? I don't think so. No way I could do a solid movie for that cheap. :O

Pub Lover Wikipedia says Evil Dead had a budget of $375,000, but video editing is much easier, advanced, and cheaper now than in '81.

Apparently a British man made a zombie movie for $70. The movie takes place from the perspective of the zombie and apparently is gaining alot of attention from big names at the Cannes film festival.

Very interesting and cool
