Fathom Zero I have a copy of Mortuary starring a young Bill Paxton on VHS, as well as Ticks which stars Clint Howard, Peter Scolari, and Alfonso Ribeiro.

Ex Leper The Video Dead Article? or the VHS site? If you hover over "website" there is a link there.

oh man, I haven't even see all of it, but I know for a fact that RAD has the best intro music ever.

How's that link, Leper?

Ex Leper I'm planning to make high quality cover scans of my collection for this website once I get my programs ready.

Babs Nothing better than going to some out the way flea markets to hunt down some Horror VHS. Recently, my entire salary has been devoted to Gas and VHS movies, not the best of decisions but I need to pay for that kind of happiness.

If anyone has any decent VHS collections you should post some pictures. I'd post mine right now but seeing as I don't own a camera, that's going to have to wait for the time being.

That's always bugged the crap out of me. I guess they're universally reviled.

When I was stationed in Okinawa immediately inside the entrance of the BX was a massive display of Star Trek Generations VHS tapes for sale at only a bargain price of $.99. We're talking a display of at least 100 tapes and this was in 2006. The display was up for at least a month before it disappeared never to be seen again. I always wondered why the BX had so many copies of that one particular movie on tape years after DVD had become the primary media format.

Yes! Although I enjoy the first Men In Black.

Guitar Woman I love me some kung-fu exploitation movies, and I've always found the goodwill's VHS section to be the best place to pick them up. I think most of the worthwhile ones are being released on DVD now, though. I bought this hilariously massacred dub of Fist of Fury when I was a kid, it's the best movie ever.

WhiteRat It's apparantly been released on dvd but I've only seen (and rented) it on VHS:

It features the greatest fight scene ever:

Ex Leper @ Mockery: I added Video Dead to my Amazon page and will snag it as soon as I see a copy lower than 27 and higher, (luckily I can watch the Doc Mock episode to quench my need for rape boxes till I can get the best deal). I don't really use eBay, currently Amazon is my best option at the moment.

@ Volt: I have to start watching movies with James Cagney, I always loved the faux films from the Home Alone films so I need to watch the real film it was inspired by and more. All the clips I've seen are all awesome and unintentionally hilarious.

10,000 Volt Ghost

This one was really bad, I don't remember the ending clearly but either a rocket launcher blew up grandmas house or something equally ridiculous.

I only saw boy meets girl once but it was amazing. Hopefully one day they'll release it on dvd.

James Cagney to Pat O'Brien: "Lets go get roaring drunk."

amazing

VHS Tape Appreciation Thread

While I highly enjoy adding titles to my DVD & Blu-rays to my collection, I recently had an interest in collecting VHS tapes of obscure and random titles that will never get a release on DVD. I was wondering if anyone has suggestions for titles that are worth hunting down?

Also feel free the post pictures of your VHS tapes and show your appreciation for a classic forgotten format.
