mburbank OMG, THAT IS SO ROMANTIC!!!

As far as exploitation goes, its best to let everyone who might ever be helpful know everything. It's not like a line or anything, becuase you never know who might be exploitable for what when. I tired to exploit you, didn't I, for the love of Christ? Doesn't that tell you how desperate I am? And what did I get? It still itches and that's all I'll say.

Hey, hey! He's supposed to help out Re with getting some work! Outta da' way, old man! Actually, I don't know if he's even seen her work.

Anyway, Boo's comic stuff is indeed quite spiffy. I like the little things he throws in there, such as putting Gemma's tattoo on one of the characters arms, right before she is slaughtered.

mburbank That would be really cool. Tell him I've been an avid comic book reader since 1969. And that I'm a great undiscovered writer, and if his advancement should ever put him in a position where someone says "Hey, boo, your a fantastic artist, do you know any undiscovered writers?". And that I have two lovely daughters would never complain but are hungry and will one day need an education. And they have huge watery eyes, and you can count their ribs, if you're the rib counting type.

I'm kidding of course. I assume they have the regular number of ribs.

So what's his name as he is credited, so that when I'm next at Harrisons, my comic shop, and I paw through old 2000 AD I know what I'm looking for?

Protoclown Boo's artwork is fucking amazing.

mburbank You are lucky. I work stnding up. If that's hat the client wants. It's hard on my back, so if they let me I use a harness.

Anonymous We saw the Boo's work space. HE WORKS STANDING UP. I only know one other artist in my life that does that. I get exhausted sitting. Damn I am lazy ass. Anyway, he also gave us a signed comic - it is our nest egg

mburbank Theodora would go completely swoony over Quidditch dirt.

Several internet sights would go completely swoony over you dressed as a kipper.

Where can I see this Boo's work?
Feb 3rd, 2003 04:19 PM
cherry if you want the effluent of comic bookartists i am sure Boo will oblige, and he eats a lot of chilli.

Max, I am moving to swindon, not much of a literati scene there, but we will have some events. Probably me dressed as Kipper or something, but there will be events. but it is in wiltshire which is where they filmed a lot of Potter stuff so i could send you some dirt and you could tell your daughter its from the Quidditch pitch or something.

and Rizla are cigarette papers and precisely what i have run out of right now goddamit, i shouldnt have thought of sending them to you because now i have none.
Feb 3rd, 2003 04:08 PM
mburbank I can scrape my own cat tray, or even my own cat's cat tray, and I don't know what Rizla are.

As far as local trviata is concerned, (ie bus timetables and such) I'll think on it. Things that have to do with the British Version of Harry Potter vs. the Americanized versions would please my eldest daughter greatly, and the effluvia cast off by famous comic book authors and artists would please me. Are you going to get to have booksignings at your new store, and will you hobknob with literary greatness?
Feb 3rd, 2003 04:02 PM
cherry max, i would try and put together a parcel of equal worth, but that would be impossible. How about i send you a bus timetable for Bournemouth, a couple of rizla and some scapings from by cat litter tray?

actually theres loads of good tourist crap in this town..let me see what i can rustle up.

mburbank I'm bumping this because it's good for my self esteem.

mburbank Hey, Cherry;

Glad it got there and all. I was really hoping someone from Lucasfilms would look over while I was drawing on that plate and say "Boy, have we got a job for you!" Unfortunately the only Skywalker staffer at my table when I was doodling was the lady what runs the objects archive. Not that that isn't a cool job, but I thinkl I'd already spooked her when the day before during the tour she gave us, I asked if anyone had ever passed out upon seeing the actual model used for the opening shot of the first (or fourth) movie. She stared at me for a while and then said "No".

he sent me things from Skywalker ranch.
amonst them was the Ranch visitor rules- such as no lightsaber fighting outside of the cantina, all Jawas must be accompanied by a responsible adult etc, the little Lucasfilm cards that George requests his big neck medicine on and best of all a turn of the millennium genuine paper plate with a Max original art work on it. its too beautiful too describe.
