No I didn't. All I said was that you would have considered her misinformed the very moment she said "I disagree". You've said as much yourself, that that's all it takes to be misinformed. If you find that confusing, maybe you're not the great bastion of intelligence that you seem to think you are.

sspadowsky I have a pretty concrete suspicion: Let's say Vinny here experienced a little bout with his fascinating and obscure little affliction. And let's say an ambulance came and took him to the ER at, how 'bout St. John's over there off I-270? Now we'll go a step further and suppose that he had no medical insurance, and the week before, Medicaid had been eliminated because the gov't thought it "simply wasn't fair" for people to pay for someone else's medical treatment. So St. John's denies him medical treatment, and the closest hospital that would treat him is a Shriner's hospital, but it's too far away to get him there in time to save his fat ass. I have a feeling that, right about then, he'd feel very differently about government subsidized healthcare.

VinceZeb Its too early in the morning, but I'll respond to this real quick.

AChimp, sorry, but I don't fry anything in oil. Bake or broil. Oil does nothing but add unnecessary calories. Go back to fucking a moose.

FS, there is a difference in choosing to help someone than having my money legally stolen from me to help someone else who doesn't help themselves. If you possessed the ability to read a sentence, you would know that I said not everyone on welfare is a lazy ass. But a lot are. So why should I help pay for them to be lazy or to turn around and take the money and buy drugs and booze?

Proto, she is misinformed. There was nothing confusing about what I said. You just tried to make it that way.

There's that socialist utopia again. I didn't realize us welfare leeches lived in such magical places. Kinda makes me proud.

Hey Vince. Suppose you came across woman being mugged/raped in the streets. Would you help her? I mean, why should YOU have to risk your life for HERS? It is simply not fair. But since we are from two different countries, I guess I'll live in the one where we want to help the ones less fortunate in society, regardless of people that might abuse that service.

Not everyone who makes use of welfare is a lazy loudmouthed fatty like yourself, Vince. That's an outdated and *gasp* naive statement.

Mar 28th, 2003 10:46 PM
AChimp Actually, in Manitoba we have government auto insurance, as well. It's very cheap compared to private insurance.

The contribution to a common fund has only to do with making it cheap for everyone. You know how you can go to Costco and buy that big fucking jug of vegetable oil (of course you do; you're a fat-ass who fries all his food) and how it winds up being only $1.00 per gallon as opposed to $5.00 per gallon if you bought the little jugs?

Same thing with the medicine, except this fat ass is as large as a country and buying for 31 million relatives.

VinceZeb Wow, Achimp trying to be clever. And like I said, if you would learn how to read a sentence without the last word being eh, it is due to EXTREME TEMPATURE CHANGE. Now, since you are a moron, I'll let it slide just this once.

edit: Apparently, it had something to do with blood phermones, but I will have to keep doing more research on it. I never really started caring about it again till this idotic conversation came up.

And you are also a socalist utopian idiot. Why should I have to contribute to YOUR medicine? Why should YOU have to contribute to MINE? It is simple not fair. But since we are from two different countries, I guess I'll live in the one where we want to work for things.

Medicine is something that comes up, like changing oil or filling your car full of gas. Do you go by car insurance that pays for your gas or changes your oil? Insurance is for extreme medical disasters, not things like a checkup or the fucking sniffles. I guess I want to depend on myself for myself and not the govt.
Mar 28th, 2003 03:04 PM
AChimp Oh no! You mean "free healthcare" isn't really free afterall? No shit.

But, even with all the taxes that we Canadians pay, it's still cheaper than the U.S. And that's without taking into account any exchange rate.

How much money do you have to lay out each time you visit a doctor, Vince? Afterall, you have that terrible medical condition that makes you fall down when it gets hot.

What about medicine? It only cost me $3.20 for a 10-day prescription of antibiotics to cure my pneumonia. Know what the pre-government, pre-health-coverage cost would have been? $35.00.

The only reason why celebrities, as you call them, travel to the U.S. for medical coverage has nothing to do with the quality of medical care. It has everything to do with speed. If I have money and cancer, I will go to where I can have my cancer treated tomorrow.

Sure, the service might be slow and there's long waiting lists for some things, but you'll never see a patient turned away from a Canadian hospital because they don't have enough money. Having everyone contribute makes it cheaper for everyone.

And if you don't like that idea? Just pretend that all your tax money went to pay for road improvements.

I make pretty good money, I pay taxes but it's not THAT bad. 22% of my cheque each month goes to taxes. I live in a nice apartment, with my fiancée and the both of us pay taxes.
And actually, the RICH people here (in Ontario) pay less taxes than I. See, we are under a conservative Government at the moment, so they got the tax break.

As for you sticking up for you fancy dancy hospitals, I never said you didn't have nice hospitals, I just said they are expensive. I actually think that the health care people here, should go work in the US where they treat their care givers properly (my mother lost her job to hospital bed cuts). That same government I mentioned earlier, cut from our hospitals, and now they are sub par.

As for the 'ass kicking' remark, I'm just fucking around. It was a retort to you calling me a 'little girl'. I'll knock off the smart mouth, when you stop patronizing me.

Are you two for real? It's wrong that a child doesn't pay for its own health care? Are you looking to reinstate child labor here, guys? Height of capitalism, right? Yay freedom!

I'm joking of course, but you're picking a piss-poor statement to question. Daphne already said that right now she's 26 and paying taxes.
Mar 28th, 2003 12:05 PM
VinceZeb First off, lets stop with the childish I can whip your ass stuff. If you want to be taken seriously, lets stop the childishness.

I am afraid that you misread what I said about the celebs. I said they come here for the health care when they need major surgery or treatment. I said nothing about their star status as a reason to come here.

St. Jude's is the best children's hospital around. And it's in, suprise suprise, the U.S. of A.

I'm not taxed very much on my pay cheque, and I should tell you that when I was a child and got FREE medical attention, I was grateful for it (yeah my mom paid taxes, but I didn't!)

I visited a girlfriend who moved to Toronto. Neat place. Montreal is cooler though, because I was younger when I got to go there and I got to drink at a younger age. But Toronto has the Blue Jays, and they have Carlos Delgado, so they rule.

Do you protect your own borders? And yes, it is our fault. I wish they would put the military on the borders, but they wont becuase they dont want to offend the rising latino voting bloc.

You don't want a socalist state. Look at Europe. It is falling from grace. Capitalism is the unequal sharing of joys, socalism is the equal sharing of miseries.

Mar 28th, 2003 11:33 AM
Daphne I'm not saying I'm going to break your ass in half, I'm saying I COULD break your ass in half.

And ok, you got me there Captain Semantics, we pay taxes so that we may enjoy Health Care.

Celebs? My god you reach for straws. They go to the US because Canadian movies suck ass, and they want to make money (which is how they pay for the ridiculous medical fees in the US)

And the wrong implant girl happened in the US...what the hell are you talking about? I didn't say we had better medical facilities. Although Sick Kids hospital is renowned for being one of the best hospitals in the world.

I'm not taxed very much on my pay cheque, and I should tell you that when I was a child and got FREE medical attention, I was grateful for it (yeah my mom paid taxes, but I didn't!)

Have you ever been to Toronto? It's not a 'town' by the way, so I assume you haven't. We do have a lot of Asian people who live here. I love that the most about Canada. It's diverse and we get to enjoy in that diversity by the foods and language and culture that the people who immigrated here brought with them.

So what if the border is unprotected? Who's fault is that?? Yours!

I don't care if Canada is becoming Socialist. As long as it's not becoming like the US, I'm happy as a fucking clam, EH!

(the one thing you said I agree with, is about Quebec, I hate Quebec...it's nice to go to if you don't speak French, but if you do, look out)

Oh, have you ever been to Canada? Or are you talking out your ass about Quebec?

I love that you answered my questions. Thank you.
Mar 28th, 2003 11:18 AM
VinceZeb Wow, you have just proved you are misinformed, Daphne.

Now, it is time for a little education lesson. You, as a Canadian, PAY for that "free" health care. Nothing in life is free. The last time I checked, doctors didn't do it because it didn't make money. Health care is expensive. Who pays for it? YOU DO. Your countrymen do! Socialist health care is the worst kind of health care. People don’t flee the "horrible" health care of the U.S. to go to Canada for theirs! The last time I checked, your celebs didn't stay in Canada for their serious medical needs, they came to America. The last time I looked, the girl who broke our laws and got the wrong organs in a horrible transplant snafu didn't get smuggled into Canada for the best health care around; she went to the United States of America.

1) Your health care isn’t free, you PAY for it. Next time you examine how much you make; look at what is taken out. Not your take home pay, how much you make BEFORE taxes.

2) Because something is "free" doesn’t make it good or even adequate. I could hand out free pieces of shit to people. Does it make it good, no? But, since I guess you assume that free = good enough, then I could give you a shitpatty sandwich and because you didn't "pay" for it, it is just a-o.k.!

Oh, wait, I thought you meant a serious question. Well, I will answer your vapid ones.

1) Because I thought the quote is funny and true about our p.c. society

2) Yes. I define it by someone that lives in a country where a huge chunk of money is legally stolen from them to pay for something that someone else refuses to pay for can sit there and talk about how it is "free".

Wow, you are going to break my "punk ass" in half? What are you going to do, fly down and "whup my ass"? Wow, threatening violence over the internet! Impressive.

And I'm sorry that I am smart enough to associate the population of Toronto with the mass population of Chinese families in that town. Excuse me for knowing something about another country. And yes, I can point out a map. It is right along our most unprotected border in the world. It is also becoming a socialist country. Also contains Quebec, which should be blasted off into space for being Canadian AND loving its Frenchieness.

mburbank My personal deffinition of 'intelligent enough to talk to'.

Someone who says "Since you are from Tornto, I would have to assume you are just another liberal brainwashed ugly ass Chinese woman. Or, a waste of a good looking one. Or even a man, but your avatar and name would tell me otherwise. "

YAY, VINCE!

Hey, Vince! Where are you from and what is your ethnic background? I'm dying to make intelligent fun of you!
Mar 28th, 2003 10:58 AM
Daphne You didn't answer MY questions
I asked you first, you self-proclaimed fatass.

And I'm a woman, I'm 26 and I'm not Chinese....I don't know why you felt the need to say that, but whatever.

And Canada has free health care for it's residents. At least that's how it works in the Province I live in. But at the moment our healthcare is shit in Ontario, I can't speak for the REST OF THE NATION.

Find Canada on a map and we'll talk
Mar 28th, 2003 10:51 AM
VinceZeb How are we full of shit, ma'am?

Answer this one question for me, and then we will see who is full of shit. In Canada, do you have free health care for everyone?

Depending on how you answer that, I can determine whether or not you are intelligent enough to talk to.

Since you are from Tornto, I would have to assume you are just another liberal brainwashed ugly ass Chinese woman. Or, a waste of a good looking one. Or even a man, but your avatar and name would tell me otherwise.

So, answer the question and then we will see if my conserative/libertarian views are stupid. Also, go over http://www.newsfilter.org/forum/foru...p?s=&forumid=1 and see if these people are idiots and tell them why. And don't do the same for me. I have visited democraticunderground.com and counterpunch.com and indymedia.com and they are more vapid than yourself.
Mar 28th, 2003 10:44 AM
mburbank I think you all miss the most important thing here. Kirkpatrick? HOT! Negroponte? NOT!
Mar 28th, 2003 10:40 AM
Daphne 'little girl'? I could break your punk ass in half

Anywhoo, I don't have any questions at the moment, other than "why do you have a Hank Hill quote in your sig" and "do you know what 'irony' is?"

And you would have walked out too? I'm not suprised, you guys are so full of shit. You act like you're taking the high road when really, your closed little minds can't do anything more that spit out the rhetoric they teach you at the right winger meetings and picnics.

Anyway, here's some more about Negroponte:

A list of Negroponte's human rights crimes here (alas, the attempt to block his nomination failed):

Mar 28th, 2003 08:54 AM
VinceZeb Ok, Daphne, what is your "tough questions"? I'm sure most intelligent people could answer anything your liberal self can ask.

Michael Moore in the NRA is nothing but a show. I can be a part of the fucking Black Panthers, but that doesn't mean I know shit or believe in them. Have some common sence.

The second admendment guarentees we can have firearms to protect ourselves and if we needed to form militia. Now, gun control laws are 1) racist, 2) unConstitutional and 3) lead to states such as China.

Know how Mao started the Great Leap Foward, little girl? He took away their weapons and ways to protect themeselves and to fight back from slaughter and re-education. So, before you talk, make sure you dont sound stupid.

And I am glad we walked out. What the hell else can we say. Evidence everywhere but in the Arab world shows we have killed a bare minimal of Iraq civilians. We do not target soliders, but it seems that Iraq civilians fleeing the citizens leaving Basra.

source 1: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,82419,00.html
source 2: http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansas...ws/5502292.htm

Before you start acussing me of being a right-wing foxnews lover, check who reported the story: The AP.

We are handing out foot to the civilians. We are risking our military personell so we do not kill innocent civilians. We are making sure we do not target women and children. Do you honestly think that we would it this way if we did not worry? No, we would have carpet-bombed the fuck out of the place, and said screw rebuilding and the Iraqi civilians. Do you have any common fucking sence whatsoever, or are you just a dillusional liberal idiot?

Now, would you like to talk more shit about us right wingers who dont answer questions on the topics of the day, or would you like to keep your yap shut and save face. Because I can give you plenty of sites to right wingers/libertarians that will give you the truth to your pretenous ass.
