But is he going for the wreath laying and then doing a fundraiser just 'cause he happens to be down there or is he doing a wreath laying so he doesn't have to pay for the fundraiser? It's not a legal question, it's an ethical question. |

It's not costing the tax payers any more money for Bush to hit a fundrasier while he's down here. I don't see a problem with it. |

Buffalo Tom | From Dubya's wreath-laying press conference: 'Dr. King was a great man. It was a tragedy when Fox cancelled his TV show. I loved that show. MARTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN! You know what? They ought to bring it back and Sanford and Son. That Red Foxx was a hoot . Oh, Lawdy! You hear that Elizabeth? I'm comin' to join you, honey!.' |

I HAVE A DREAM... YOU PAY FOR IT! So W. is going to lay a wreath at Martin Luther King Jr.'s grave, which is good, but it turns out most of the day will be spent at a fundraiser, which means W. can pass his expenses along to the taxpayer on account of he's laying the wreath as President and as long as he happens to be in Atlanta picking up 2 grand a plate from folks who are ... lets just say Paler than the good dr. Concidering he already has more money than anyone ever raised, concidering he's running unopoosed, concidering we'll all be paying for the rtip no matter who we plan on voting for, W couldn't either pay his own way, or maybe, just maybe actually devote the whole day to issues of civil rights and maybe not hock plates of rubber chicken an autygraphed photos for 2 thousand dollars a pop? |
