ziggytrix I didn't mean to imply 'Get Behind Me' belongs on the worst albums list or anything. Just that the White Stripes (and Coldplay too before anyone nominates those silly fucks) are terribly overrated, overhyped, and overplayed. Once or twice a week in the rotation is fine, but not 3 times a day like it was delivered down by the ghost of Jimi Hendrix himself as a gift to all rockers past and present, thank you very much. :D

re:

i would've put the white stripes' new one in my "biggest disappointments" list just because of that godawful single (as well as a few other bad tracks on the album), but overall i don't think it's bad at all. besides, i really didn't have such high hopes for the album after hearing several TERRIBLE live bootlegs right before the album leaked.

plenty more awesome stuff that would normally make the list, but there's just been so much great shit already. hell, i could make a top 10 list of just new davenport-related releases. here are my biggest disappointments of the year so far (i actually enjoyed all of these but rarely listen to them, which is quite surprising)...

devendra banhart - cripple crow
black dice - broken ear record
xiu xiu - la foret
