Starscream: I never thought of ICS' vocals that way, but you are totally right. Thats what they were like! Yeah it really sucks he's not with them anymore. I'm anxious to see what he does next though, he has so many great prior bands/projects he can reboot, so that should be cool to see. New Arcturus stuff would be awesome! Looks like they're going to do a reunion show next year. |

"You know I really wanted to hate the new Dimmu Borgir album." File that under phrases I never expected hear in my life...ever. |

Having seen them live with Lamb of God and Cannibal Corpse around the time Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia was released in 2001, I have to say losing ICS and Mustis is pretty sad because, from the live standpoint, ICS at least was a major presence on stage for them (at the time Nicolas Barker was with them too and he was amazing to watch on the drums). Not sure why but ICS'd clean vocals always called up the vision of the hero against the darkness to me, and it'll be missed. Of course though, like many bands of its kind, Dimmu has had a lot of members, so I don't doubt at all that this album is great -Dimmu is pretty much eternal. Great review |

Shadowdancer21b | Your review is entertaining, but black metal just doesn't do it for me. |
