David Shrigley

I love this guy. I generally have a hard time believing critics when they desacribe an artist as funny, because funny usually means some horrible post-modern ironic in-joke for other artists to laugh at because laughing is proof they've retracted entirely up their own arseholes and are thus welcome into the establishment. Fucked if i'm going to find a dissected shark a 'humorous approach' to anything. Anyway, this bloke is not at all pretentious and totally strange. If there is something pretentious ab out it i'm missing the joke, but his stuff is amazing anyway so I don't feel like a dunce for it. See for yourself at http://www.davidshrigley.com
