The Unseen The mountain goats sure seem to like the postal service.

Or they're in it for the fans

re:

i saw these guys on accident about a year ago, when mountain goats opened for them. my friend and i had gotten to the front so we could have loud voting voices for mountain goats' songs and before we knew it, we were stuck up front 'cuz all of the lamemo kids had surrounded us for postal service. however, two or three songs into it, we were asked by that gibbard cocksucker if we were just not having a good time. he could either see it in our eyes or the stares of disappointment were more obvious than we thought. we answered that we were indeed having no fun at all and the nice little butt-chap asked his emo henchmen to make a path so we could leave. we thanked him and got outta there. nice butt-chap, shitty musician. mountain goats were great, though!

crash0814 Death Cab for Cutie would be a great band if somebody else sang. Instead, they're tolerable.

wreckreation Gibbard would be a lot better if he were mute.

Ooner I dig 'em. I don't like DCFC as much because in a LOT of songs there's long boring droning on and on and Gibbard's vocals get annoying. I think he works better with the Postal Service, because it's catchy and cute and he doesn't have a chance to be annoying or depressing.

I think I like the synth pop stuff a little more than most people though, so I can see why some people hate it. Figurine is just Postal Service with even worse vocals (and lyrics) and I like it just as much.

wreckreation I really like the MUSIC but fuck i hate gibbard's vocals. EVERY intro i am all like "this is catchy" then the voice comes in and i skip to the next song. repeat for every track.
