Zombie Collection...

I wound a box-set of 4 zombie films, (Zombie flesh-eaters, City of the living dead, The Beyond and Zombie Holocaust) for 31.45$. (20€) :love
So, i wondered if it was a good deal? (Bought it) I already have the Zombi 2 but have always heard great things of the other three films and living in Finland you only get these films imported from UK, or other countries. So i can tell you that i was fucking surprised to find them in local market...

Speaking of italian horror in general, Mario Bava and his son Lamberto Bava's movies are great as well. Demons is one of my fave flicks ever and the monsters are zombie-like. But demons. You dig?

Yes, i love horror movies. Not just some particular genre of horror like splatter or j-horror, but every genre has so many classics and great moments...
Recently bought a movie called Monster man. One the best horror-comedies i have seen lately.

Masters of Horror episode 6: Homecoming is about zombies, btw guys which one is your favourite Masters of Horror episode?

Fathom Zero Jun 14th, 2008 01:10 AM

Cigarette Burns. But that's just me.

J. Tithonus Pednaud Jun 15th, 2008 08:41 PM

Cigarette Burns was awesome. I loved Jennifer as well.

Cigarette burns, Fair haired child, Imprint and Haeckel's tale were great. Haven't seen season 2 yet. Dance of dead was fucking amazing, not because the story or atmosphere of it, but it had Tobe Hooper directing and Robert Englund as the "bad guy". Speaking about Hooper, managed to get my hands on Texas chainsaw massacre 2 Gruesome edition and Toolbox murder remake.
My favorite zombie movies are bytheway: Day of the dead, Braindead (dead alive), The serpent and the rainbow and Re-Animator. (Shaun of the dead is also great.)

caffman Jun 19th, 2008 09:24 AM

Braindead is brilliant but I prefer meet the feebles and bad taste. 28 days later, while not a "zombie" movie as such, is a great example

macrodeath Jun 19th, 2008 12:43 PM

Btw, does Evil Dead count as zombie film? I know that the bad guys are possessed by demons, but the way they get possessed is like from a zombie movie.
Meet the feebles is great, but not really a zombie film... :) Anyway, i love the golf scene. And Bad Taste of course has Derek and the team. (It's kinda strange to see Peter Jackson nail himself in the foot.)

You don't have to reply to every fucking thread, you know.
On topic, I instantly fell in love with the original Day of the Dead.

I highly recommend Burial Ground and Black Demons.
That is an excellent box set though!
