Jack Thompson is an American hero!
His tireless work has helped many many Americans learn about the Godless work of the video game companies.
Why, just the other day, I was playing Grand Theft Auto. I said to myself "Why, this carjacking and killing people looks so easy! I should try it!" So I went online to find more infomation. After wading through the sites of porn, I stumbled upon a site by Mr. Thompson. He told me the dangers of the Video Games, and how the internet is a smut filled house of horror. I was shocked at how video games could train me to kill those innocent people!
I cried when I realized that I almost did exactly what the game was brainwashing me to do. I ran over to my X-Box, and kicked it to pieces. My mind is no longer a slave to anyone's video horrors, and it's all thanks to Jack Thompson!

I also think your video game would rock! The one where I get to kill people at Gamewerks for being evil sons of bitches that are selling us the fucking shit evil games. It funny, cause I use to work at Gamestop, which is a company attached to Gameworks, which sounds like Gamewerks! It kinda scary though, that you want to train people to kill those people that I worked with. It's also sad that my former manager will have to die and his 5 year old Daughter must be put out on the street to whore for her living, cause her mommy ran off. But it ok! You and your goals are saving the U.S.A! We should also try to go after the Grim Fairy tales, the original ones, because those trained people to push old ladies who gives kids candy into the fire.

GOD BLESS JACK THOMPSON!

Well I think he has a point in a way, I think anything in the wrong hands of a mentally unbalanced person can push them to breaking point. There will always be people that are just wired that way.

They had it on casulty on saturday, a girl that was so obsessed with a boy that she drugged his mother and then tried to kill her!

There must be people like her around, sadly there are some also that cannot use the psychotic card when they get hauled to the courts. Anyway, I'm sure you know all about these type of things. I managed to see part of a documentary about The Wests and that was interesting, how incidents, genetics and an upbringing can influence your life and turn you into a sadistic killer.

However thats got nothing to do with Mr Jack Thompson. I am however interested to see what happens to this generation over the next few years. Surely it is safer to take stress out on a computer game than by smashing someones head in on a saturday night after too many pints of stella?

i saw a "law and order" rerun last weekend about these kids who ran over a hooker and kicked her to death. they claimed they thought it was a game because they'd been brainwashed by the game. they went to jail.

I actually had a long conversation with my mother about jack thompson and the vg industry in general. It was appaling at how little she knew but still had strong, set ideas on the whole thing. It bugged me, that never having played the game, she was basing her opinons on scattered stories of the game that she has heard on TV. She described the game as, "You can beat it by raping women." I explained that the all the sex in the game was consentual. Her rebutul was about the hot coffee mod. Where i went to explain exactly what the mod was. She didnt belive me and continuted to rave about how that kids were playing this game and how it was rotting my mind.

So, i did the only reasonible thing i could think of. I sat her down and made her watch as i played the game. I had sex with a hooker, and one of my girlfriends and showed her that there was no sex mini game and the sex was consentual. I explained exactly what i would have to do in order to get the mini game activated. I ran around a town and killed people, and showed her that, i never held a knife to a womans throat and raped them, there werent blood baths as people were killed.

she was shocked. She finally started to sway towards my side. But lo, this was a one- two punch. Thats when i got on the computer and showed her Jack Thompsons idea for a video game. I showed some of the e-mail conversations with the penny-arcade guys and the vgcats scott ramassosrjsddrfn. I showed her the article where the company told him to stop using there name.

and finally i had my win. we agreed that some games are bad and that JT is using this as a way to boost his reputation. She is going to tell people about how wrong the media portrays this whole thing.

Then i stole her car, ran her over, took her money and had sex with a hooker.

Comerade Rocket, I hope you also told her off for holding strong opinions about something she knew nothing about.

I also think its hilarious that The National Institute on Media and the Family withdrew support from Jack Thompson. Even they think he's crazy.

This is the same guy who handed Janet Reno a note asking her to check a box indicating whether or not she was lesbian, bisexual, or straight.

Was that the one where they sent that movie to that one kid and had those laughing faces that went "YOU KILLED HER JERRY! LMAO!!!"

"What does 'LMAO' mean?"
"...Laughing my ass off"
"What? You thought this was FUNNY?"

Yeah, that's the one.

Also the kid was playing the game with a gamecube controller
I don't recall any GTA type games being on the gamecube (except for Streets of LA but that doesn't count because it was about five minutes long)
