I see why you find it ironic I didn't recognize it now.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that is one angry Nixon in the avatar.

I'm not nearly so suprised I didn't recognize him at first, because I was born after the Nixon era (I'm only 15, you know). We didn't really look much into Nixon in school, either; we just touched on Watergate and what he did to make better relations with China.

Perhaps the thing I find most ironic now is Vince's avatar. I'm not sure if he was a Nixon supporter; but if he was, it's incredibly funny that he gave him devil horns in an attempt to make you look evil (the way I understood it to be, anyway).

I'm suprised you didn't choose something like this:

...unless, of course, you are trying to make a point by making it seem as though he was on a dollar bill (which I suspect you are, but I don't really want to get into that right now).

I also thought it was pretty damn funny that Vinth didn't know who my Avatar was.

Youngun or not, everybody ought to be familliar with Nixon. I'd call him our first truly modern politician. Kennedy might have understood television before he did, but Nixon understood reinvention before Madona.

He was also paranoid, vengeful, spiteful, smart, and had a chip on his shoulder about the size of Wisconsin. In short, he was a psychological mess, and he left a mark on this country that I don't think is fully appreciatted, but somewhat recognized the fact that we can't have a scandal without calling it "gate."

And the Green is not for Money, but for the barely controlled rage he shared with a character invented just around the time Nixon made the Checkers speech. The incredible Hulk.

Nixon is one of the most easily recognizable Presidents in our nation's history. Surprised that someone like yourself didn't recognize him.

The main reason I couldn't tell who he was is that he looks a little younger there than the few pics I've seen of him. Plus his hair doesn't come out a little farther than the rest of it in the front.

Still, I should have been able to recognize him. Not sure whether that says anything about how we learn american history in public schools or not...

This is an interesting concept you speak of. Never before have I heard of Vinth "Too Smart For Y'all" Zeb not realizing something before the rest of humanity.

Actually, when I first saw Vinth's new avatar, I was laughing as hard as I ever have, seeing as how he couldn't POSSIBLY have realized who it was, or he would never have done it.

I'm afraid I'm not terribly familiar with the rare Dickus nixonus. I have heard that the Republican party has established a captive breeding program though.

I have no hope for the futeure now, also no hope for any political satire I was going to do in the future. Thank god Max didn't use one of the lesser know Presidents like Taft, Garfield, or Coolidge.
Would you all recodnize Jimmy Carter " the inventor of Nuttella), or Gerald Ford? I hope so... If the only Presidents you can point out are Ronnie Raygun, Geo. H.W. Bush, Bubba, Geo. W. Bush, i weep.

Yeah, plus all the presidents that occur on currency. Like Presidents Hamilton and Franklin.

Seth, I hope you are referring to Franklin Delano Roosevelt(sp?), and not Benjamin Franklin, because ole' Benny was never a U.S. President.

Agreed. Although I dislike the part about me sponsoring these public schools, it's a tad illegal not to pay at all. *Sighs*
