Well, let's do some math.

New Mexico, me thinks, will swing towards Kerry. It has gone Democratic the last three elections.

Kerry will take Wisconsin, and probably Minnesota. Several polls show him taking a more comfortable lead in the oh-so-crucial state of Ohio. I'm thinking Michigan will go towards Kerry, too. That would give Kerry 273 electoral votes.

For the sake of argument, let's give New Hampshire and Florida to Bush. That would give Bush a grand total of 265.

Thanks for the post, Ronnie!

If Kerry wins, do you think Naldo will ever post here again?

"He's not going to win."

I know, I know, it's just agonizing. There' nothing even to be said anymore.

I am mostly worried at this point about there being a clear outcome.

Obviously, but you can still look at statewide polls (which tend to be far more reliable than say nationwide push polling), observe past statewide trends, and also look at demographic/census info to TRY to predict where a state MAY go.

In the end, it's just good fun.

Last and final update today, with Kerry way off in the lead. It'd sure be nice to avoid a recount.

CTV.ca News Staff

Long line ups and lawyers are shaping election day so far in the United States, as both candidates continue to make pleas for those precious undecided voters.
