Not on TV, kind of gaming, but ultimately I felt I should put it here, since there's "anime" in the title and all.
The Chrono Trigger OVA! Which basically means "totally unrelated to the game, but pretty fun." I rewatched it this morning and I still enjoy it muchly.
The story (if you could call it that), takes place at the Millenial Fair, as taken over by monsters. The main characters are a Nu (Nuu) and a Poyozo (Mamo) what have funtimes annoying Johnny and Gato (
Gonzalez). Gato also sings.
Lots of references are made to the game, and the ending credits are also funny.
It's been around for a year or more, though, so it could be old news
