Wow, I started a discussion...
Why can't I start one and have intended to rather than done it by accident?
Also, I've always pronounced it pooned. But if it is indeed the result of a typo then technically it doesn't have a pronunciation as it isn't a word.
Also, screw you* person who says the singular is djinni, because I don't give a shit.
