i've got these speakers that are most definitely not magnetically shileded... when i put them directly beside my monitor the screen slightly distorts and gains a reddish haze. i moved them a little further away now and i no longer see any type of effect visually.. but how far away is safe? i'm running out of desktop real-estate and until i buy some sort of shelving solution, they pretty much have to stay there. also, they are pretty close to my laptop as well... does the same thing affect LCD's? and i'm guessing this is probably not good for hard disks as well? fuck
