 Paid nothing.
 It eats up no extra resources--it's using Litestep, which is a complete shell replacement for Windows Explorer. It only uses as much resource as explorer.exe, so it's just the same as it would be if I were running Windows.
 
 I run Litestep mostly because it looks better, but also because it has a lot of stuff accessible right at the top. There's a command prompt, a System Manager, a Volume Control and a Winamp Remote all at the top bar, as well as shortcuts on the right side (for instance, if you left-click on "TXT", it'll open up Wordpad. if you right-click, it'll open MSWord.)
 
 It's also got four different tops, if you look above that. So I put Fruity Loops on one, ExplorerXP on another, and some other program on the fourth one. It's real useful for people without dual monitors.
