Old Jun 13th, 2003, 09:53 AM        WHY I MOCK VINTH
Helm, whom I respect, has suggested that I stop Mocking Vinth. He thinks that Vinth is encouraged by the attention, and I'm sure that's true. His goal, however, is for Vinth to leave, and that's not something I want.

El Blanco, whom I frequently disagree with, but is someone who writes intelligeably was a bit more blunt, opining that I should 'get a room'.

I'm afraid I am constitutionally unable to comply. What can I say? I came to be published, but I STAYED for the Mockery.

I find Vinth's lack of language skills couple with his appaulling personality fascinating. Moreover, he is a HUGE source of raw material from which to make art. Marcel Duchamp repositioned found material as 'ready mades'. Picasso transformed a bicycle seat into a Bulls head. I'm no Duchamp or Picasso, but apsire to make new humor with the detritus I find.

I'm actually quite interested in 'found language' using the internet as a source, and am becoming more interested all the time. I'm also very interested in people. Vinth is not the first person I've focused on and I'm sure he won't be the last.

But I wouldn't leave you without some hope, Helm. I've eventually tired of all my former subjects, and once I've gotten evrything I can from Vinth, I'll stop.
