It just makes sense. Like him or not, Dean set up the arguments for this presidential race, took all the shots for it, came across as "angry" and "radical," and so now John Kerry talking about a single-payer health system doesn't sound so crazy or Lefty.

If he really wants to create a strong PAC within the Democratic Psarty, he shouldn't take this attitude. If he really belives in rebuilding the party, this would be the wrong kind of rhetoric, IMO. He needs to be completely supportive of Kerry in public, but behind the scenes, or even internally within his "movement," he needs to continue to frame the debate.
