This reminds me of that awesome contemporary Mexican horor story where the family won't go into certain rooms in the house because "They" (probably ghosts) control those rooms and soon the ghosts take over the house, room by room.

Except in this instance, "They" are Terra and Cosmo, and they get condiments and various putrid oils all over the place.
