Ness used to be my main guy in 64, but I would never play as him because he was waaaay too powerful. The stomp cancels out EVERYTHING, has no delay, and can be combo'd with PRECISION. Apart from that, the bat is extremely strong, and his throws (my main offensive tactic) are incredible.

I liked 64 a lot more, because it was much simpler to be decent with every single character. I know that doesn't leave a lot of room for specialization, but I was outstanding with Ness, Luigi, Yoshi, and just good with everyone else.
