I didn't hate this as much as you did, Proto, but I sure wasn't wild about it. I think you're right that the biggest problem comes from over crowding. Although there have been several comic movies I've liked a lot, I've yet to see one I didn't think suffered from over crowding. You only get about two hours. Tell one story and tell it well.
