Oh, so its basically a lack of confidence towards third party manufacturers all in the name of safety, but with minimal or no gains at all. Expense Gets passed to the consumer and reduced pay for the aircrew.

So basically all the money in the air business goes to parts suppliers who profit from hoarding discontinued parts and sustained by lack of trust and support for third party makers, on the airlines part.
