I never got Heroes IV because I saw that the map enemies get their own roam turn where they can just walk over and attack you. I still want to play Heroes V because I heard you can recruit blade dancers who pretty could get away with having the last name of Daermon N'a'shezbaernon.

In HOMM3 all enemies are locked in place during battle? I never played it, I just read reviews and saw screen shots.

In HOMM5 the enemies can roam the combat environment just like in HOMM4 but the hero that leads them is stationary.

On the world map enemies are locked in place. During combat they move around

That sounds risky.

HOMMV is HOMM3 remade in 3d. So it's good.

Yeah, it's like III only a little harder, I think. Obviously new enemies, heroes, races, spells etc.

No lizard people though, which saddens me

I think I may grab the SNES version and give it a whirl tonight.

The gameworld was stated to be the size of some real-world location, I think Antarctica. 100% FUCK THE STORY NON-LINEAR GO ANYWHERE ORGY PALOOZA! EDIT: Oh yeah you can piss off the Assasin's club and have killers follow you all over the world map and stuff. They should have made a Cyberpunk Daggerfall. The Terminator games used their same engine "Xngine" but they were completely linear.
Sounds great,

I wish back in the day they made a Cyberpunk RPG using the game engine of M&M / Elder Scrolls. That would of been amazing. The only cyber-punk games I've played were Snatchers, Rise Of the Dragon, and Shadowrun. All good games but they were nothing compared to the immersive environments in M&M.

DO IT!

PS: ENABLE MOUSE EMULATION.

Also, the town music in that version is based off of a classical piece that I can't identify. If you could tell me which one it is I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER!

Honestly, I can't count how many hours I've logged on the HOMM series (2/3 mainly). My cousin and I used to hotseat play them all the time.
Then I got HOMM 3 for myself and played the shit out of it, and still boot it up every now and again.

Also, don't know who said it but yeah, solimar the genie is awesome.
