I have both games and I just wanted to come here and DISCUSS STRATEGY!!!!!! Guys I think my Ganondorf tactics could be improved. I mean I like to down B my opponents and follow that up with either a forward A or a forward B, but they keep shield rolling out of that?!?!?!?!

Telling someone to fuck off for posting a youtube link when they probably don't have the game is a bit different than me coming here and discussing a game I own, whether it be mocking your obsessiveness or just saying "I LIKE THIS GAME."

And Diddy's Final Smash is pretty boss if you actually know how to use it. Most people just fly around and shoot peanuts at nothing and wonder why nobody die.

I really love her final smash to pieces, also

I thought it was useless the first time I saw it, but I get most of my KO's that way. I also think it's hilarious to put everyone playing with you into a coma and then pick them off one by one with a frying pan.

Also, thanks for now Schimid, I'm still working on the basics of Dedede from what you've already said. My friend uses him all the time, and I think it'd be neat if I could beat him as his main character.

Well, I really only use Peach when I feel like being a jackass.

Which is most of the time. Otherwise I roll with Toon Link. I've also found that certain characters are better suited to one on one matches or group fights, so when it's a free for all I'm usually Lucas.

whats the point of donkey's final smash when you can escape it by spaming the L dodge ability, and why dedede has swallow when it does nothing

i beat boss battles on very hard the other day using pokemon trainer. now intense on the other hand.... guh.

if there's one thing I hate about Peach it's her recovery :<

The ability to float doesn't make much of a difference if you're stuck just one inch below the safety of a stage's edge.

Also, now that I've honed my skillz with her toad block I've improved considerably. It's easily the best counter in the game; the only things it can't stop and reflect are golden hammers and final smashes.

I haven't really found a use for turnip plucking beyond being annoying yet, although sometimes I pull out a Mr. Saturn instead which appeals to my Earthbound fanboyery and makes me think I have a chance of getting other items sometimes.

I haven't played the new Smash, but in Melee it could be used to block thrown objects, like bombombs, or to interrupt long attacks from a distance, like Donkey kong charging up his punch and stuff like that.

There are probably better uses for it, but I didn't play with her much (unless like you, I felt like being a dick) but those are the only real ones I found. Or you could have a throwing match with another Peach, seeing who gets hit first. That's always fun.

Yeah, I remember hearing somewhere that it works like Dedede's Waddle Dee chucking where you randomly get something like a capsule or a bumper, only turnips aren't good for anything so constantly pulling them up in the hopes of getting something special just opens me up for getting my arse kicked.

Oh, hey, With Anyone works now.

It lags about as much as friend matches did a month ago, which is still ridiculous, but there are a bunch of clean spots!

I just wish it had more than one game mode, since every match I've been in consists of everyone slapping everyone else around for 2 minutes and then seeing who won.

Unless there's a Sudden Death, then it gets interesting.

now that we have all played this game for long enough, who do you guys main?

i was juggling between diddy and lucas for awhile, but i've decided on diddy. banana, cartwheel, repeat, wonderful combo. his meteor smash is wonderful, as well as his forward air. just recently i saw a video of diddy doing his forward special onto a falling foe, which didn't allow the foe to move whatsoever, then detaching towards the bottom of the screen and getting back up to the stage. pretty sweet, and yeah, i'm currently practicing that.
