I don't know if it's the quality of the video or what, but why does Mario spin every time he jumps and falls? That seems like it would get annoying.

But fuck, I'd buy a DS for a new side-scroller Mario game.

That plays really smoothly, and the animations are terrific... I remember seeing an official video of this a while ago where mario got the size of the screen and started stomping everything but never saw a gameplay video that showed just normal gameplay. This game actually looks good without being just a 3d SMB.
