The Buying A Car Thread
I used to have a '93 Toyota Pickup. It was pretty, and blue, and a stickshift. I loved it. But now it's gone, it blew up in Connecticut a while ago, and I'm pissed. I've gone for a while without a car, but now I need one again, and now I'm looking.
Right now, I only have $913 bucks. I'm looking around for better stuff, but it's hard with such a small budget.
I'm not looking for anything in particular; My only stipulation is that it has to be a manual, I get bored driving anything else. I'd like it to be a pickup truck too but, beggars can't be choosing too much. I have a CD player and a few speakers that I salvaged from my truck, so those're no problem.
I found a real lame Dodge Colt near my house the other day for a cheap $650, with the air-conditioning ripped out of it and one flat tire. I called the guy, he said he has another tire and just hasn't put it on. The killer is that the car has 162,000 miles and with it, being a Dodge, that's not a good thing.
I'm debating on whether or not to call the guy back, especially with all the sproutings of used cars in the area (seriously, they're lining the streets). What should I do?
