let's share our veggie recipes.

i recently discovered a neato way to make yummy mac and cheese. you boil up some elbow macaroni, then add real cheddar cheese, milk and butter (this is NOT a vegan thread ) and pop it in the microwave for a few minutes. you can use sliced cheese too. i usually make this with leftover pasta that i've kept in the fridge.

sometimes i put broccoli in it.

I sometimes replace the butter with olive oil (not extra virgin though, too strong), and sometimes use soy milk instead of regular cow milk. Yum yum!

i should try that, although i'm not a huge fan of soy milk.

anybody happen to have a good recipe for veggie chili? preferably one without carrots? i hate cooked carrots.

oh! who likes a good veggie sandwich?

i make mine with cucumbers, roma tomatoes, hummus and swiss cheese. all on wheat bread.

delish. it's also good warmed up and/or toasted.

I like jsut plain tomatoes sandwiches with mustard and mayo

i like to stir fry a bunch of veggies and instead of cooking oil i use my SECRET INGREDIENT: italian salad dressing

and i like to make sandwhiches with multigrain bread, romaine lettuce, a baked hash brown, alfalfa sprouts, cherry tomatos, green olives, hummus, feta.... and whatever else is around

i soy milk. especially chocolate vitasoy

i like the chocolate soymilk, don't get me wrong there, but i'm not a huge fan of regular old soy milk. which reminds me...

my old boss's wife is going through menopause and soy is supposed to be good for women at this time of life. they are pretty big drinkers. they made up a drink using vodka, coffee liquer and soy milk. they call it the "soylent bean."

I can't stand soymilk myself, so I use ricemilk. Smooth without the chalky taste. I think it is more expensive though...

I'll tell you what rocks... Chocolet soy, with Oregon Chai Brand "Kashmir Chai", or any green chai you can find really...
Sandwiches...
Ok my fav. is grilled eggplant, grilled Roma tomatoes, cucumbers, Grilled Zuccini, Israeli Feta... On homade Focatccia bread.
The dressing I use is 3 parts Extra virgin Israeli Olive oil, White balsamic Vinager, Kosher salt, and capers & garlic run through a garlic press... to make it a bit thicker you can add a bit of mayo to it...
Also fresh spinach...
P.s. don't eat too much raw spinach, it is full of Calcium and Iron but unless slightly cooke it blocks the ability to process them, and many other Vitamins, and nutirents...

OI... Dole, you can mix your X-Virgin Olive oil with Canola oil, you still get a good flavor, not as strong, and a higher smoke point...
Unless it's a bright green color, do not buy X-virgin Olive oil, some companies will color the glass... Yellow is not a good color unless you like buying shitty Pomice olive oil (100% olive oil, yeah if you like the 5th or 6th pressing... Including the seeds!)

i'm gonna make french toast and eggs for dinner tonight for my man because he likes my french toast because i use cinnoman.

dole calls french toast eggy bread and he eats it with ketchup.

fried tofu skins, string beans and peppers (hot for flavour and bell peps for yumminess) and choi sum AND red bean paste with NO BACON for desert

it's actually something i used to always eat at a dong bei restaurant in china. i wish i knew the recipe... but i'm probably glad i don't because it probably went something like:

- fry everything in a shitload of oil
- add MSG to taste
- serve with white rice or noodles

still yummy tho!

Egg Bread and tomato sauce is tasty. My gf's mum puts golden syrup/maple syrup on it.

I usually have to have meat on my sandwiches but a very good meatless one is, grilled portabella mushrooms, avacado, alfalfa sprouts, Tilamook medium chedder cheese, and thousand island dressing in pita bread.
