I've just been writing phrases down recently, in what i guess you'd call "poetry", only what i write never means anything. I just write down the phrases that pop into my head. It's kinda weird, and some of them are senseless, with impossible adjectives o .o They're all separated by an empty line, the same as how i wrote them.

Conditionless Power Overwhelming
It's like pools of fucking stardust
Cursed apocalypse of napalm
May i browse your shelves tonight?
Perhaps but a twitter
For fear of grinding darkness

With shredded omnipotence
Influence... waning
It's pointless to continue
Thank god for apples

I often collect weird little sentences and nonsensical rhymes that I come up with, and they tend to pop up in my sig. Sometimes I just want to save them for use later on in a story or something.

I do the same thing, Ninjavenom. I write down a lot of phrases, or band names that pop into my head, and I keep them all in a notebook. Some of them make it into my poetry (I've not written any poetry in over a year though) and others will be used in a couple stories I have planned. If nothing else, they sound cool and they're good for sparking creative ideas.

I like writing that stuff down, it's something creative i can do that i don't really have to stress over, it's just something that kinda happens. Some stuff i wouldn't mind using as quotes, either. The lips of god one is already in my gay AIM thingy. Yay for faux-symbolism. o .o
